Usage
The Ultrasonic wavelength repels mosquitos. The function is on for 36 hours before charging is needed. Charging can be from the grid or solar via USB connector. Charging happens when the light is on and the battery is fully charged in 30 minutes. The wavelength reach out to 18 meter theoretically. When power is cut and wall switch is in mode “on”, the back up light starts to operate with the lumens of  500 lm, which is equivalent to a 60W incandescent bulb with frosted glass. If wall switch in in “off” mode the backup light does not operate. Battery  can last for 3 hours at 500 lm. Battery is charged automatically when AC electricity is on and it is under protection of overcharging.


Comparison
An Ecolux led tube light saves about 75% of the energy compared to a fluorescent and last about 10 times longer than a fluorescent. Beside the saving it reduces the CO2 emission with up to 80% and does not contain harmful mercury or cancer developing naphthalene. Beside that LED does not generate UV radiation. 


Mosquito Repellent
To buy one spray can of Deet based Doom cost $6,5 and that can is consumed in about a month or quicker. That is a cost of 78 dollar every year. Vape and coils cost about $40 per year. One problem with Deet spray is that it dissolves after it has been sprayed and spraying has to be repeated.


Back Up
Today people are using candles, kerosene lanterns or battery charged lanterns that in Kenya cost about $35-45. These lanterns gives very weak light - generally only 110lm in relation to Ecolux Back Up that produce 500lm. That's equivalent to a 50W incandescent bulb which is the best in the market. Charging is done from grid or solar via the USB connector.
